Pages & Co. 3 part Series. Author: Anna James.

Ever wondered when reading a book, who your fav character was, who would you want to best friends with, go out on a date with, what would you say if you ran into the character you despised the most... essentially what would your interaction be like with your book characters? If you could walk into any scene of any book, which book would that be? Which scene would that be? And what if you could alter the story, would you? And then what would happen to people who are connected through those books? Will their relationships change?

Pages and Co. takes you through this journey with book wanderer Tilly, and her friend Oskar, another book wanderer.

In the first book, Tilly realizes that she is a book wanderer. She can speak to Anne of Green Gable, Alice from Alice in Wonderland etc. She can walk into stories. And she can ring things back from stories! And that her grandparents and mom are also book wanderes! The story starts with Tilly thinking her mom was dead but later realizes she is alive, except that she is trapped in a story. Tilly also makes a new friend, Oskar. Tilly takes Oskar into stories, as we dont know yet that Oskar is a book wanderer as well. Towards the end of book 1 Tilly is able to get her mom back and we realize that not all is well in the world of stories. And we get introduced to Melville Underwood - the villain!

Book 2 introduces us to Oskar's parisian Grandmom, who is also a book wanderer. And Oskar is happy to realize the he is a book wanderer as well! Tilly and Oskar have a crazy adventure and understand that power crazy people want to control the book wandering world. Melville tightens his grip in the book wandering world. And he has help. His smart twin sister - Decima Underwood!

Book 3 is war between the ones who want power and the one who want to keep book wandering alive! Including the books and the book characters. You'll get on board the magic train, meet Mylo, his smuggler uncle and the Archivists.

The series keeps you engrossed till the very end. You root for Tilly ans Oskar, feel their frustration, disappointment, their anger, and get butterflies in tour stomach when they get into dangerous situations.

Meant for 8-12 years old, this is a good read for (very) grown ups as well! Grab the books, curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the roller coaster ride :)

  1. I decided to read this review (given how I don't like spoilers) and loved it. I am amazed at the creativity of the author and honestly I have thought about characters I have loved and places that sound exciting but never really thought of becoming a part of the plot. Sounds like a very interesting read.
